~February Monthly Meeting: RSVP is out and will be open until Sunday at 11:55 pm! The meeting will be on Wednesday the 22nd and will feature a presentation by Jennifer DeBoer on the diversity of women in engineering. Come join us for a great evening with fellow women engineers!
~WIE CoNEXTions Launch Party--TOMORROW, Thursday the 16th, from 5-6:30 in the ARMS atrium. Come meet future mentors, current peers, and alumni of all kinds at this drop-in networking event! Attire is business casual.

~February Monthly Meeting--Wednesday February 22nd, from 5:30-7:00 in ARMS B061, followed by Coffee and Conversations in Amelia's! The RSVP is still open until this Sunday at 11:55 pm. Reserve your spot now!

Hello ladies! Welcome back to the WIEP blog--I hope you all had a fantastic winter break! There is a lot of important WIEP information to tell you today, so let's jump right in!

THIS WEEK:

~Monthly Meeting--TOMORROW, Wednesday January 25 in ARMS B061. The meeting will feature financial advice that is both currently relevant and helpful for the future and will be catered by Panera! Be there around 5:15 to get signed in and get your food! Can't wait to see you all there for our first meeting this semester!
~LT POSITION APPLICATIONS--resumés and cover letters are due by this Friday 1/27! Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to become more involved in WIEP!

Hello wonderful participants! Wherever Thanksgiving Break found you, we hope that you enjoyed your time off and came back refreshed and ready to finish out the year strong! We have several important announcements/reminders today so without further ado:

THIS WEEK:

~December Movies and Munchies is THIS SUNDAY at 7:00 in Krach 464! This is such a fun night with other participants that will include a hot chocolate bar, seasonal crafts, donut decorating and a showing of the classic holiday comedy Home Alone.  We hope you will all come join us for this awesome evening of fun!
~FINAL Access Alum: Thursday 12/1 2:45-4:30  Dr. Sue Abreu
~MID-YEAR EVAL: https://purdue.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_25X4ULwog7SxK7i  If you have any spare time to fill out this survey, we would greatly appreciate it! We use your survey responses to try and improve the program FOR YOU, that's why we do all of this--for you! So please help us out and let us know how we can improve this program! The survey closes tomorrow, Dec. 1st! 
~Small Groups Event: The Small Groups program will be at All Fired Up! this Saturday December 3rd, from 12-2 pm making Christmas Ornaments! All small groups members are welcome to come enjoy this fun opportunity!

Well, not much left this semester as far as WIEP is concerned; however, don't let that keep you from attending our remaining events!

~Social Opportunity: TOMORROW, November 17th, starting at 6 pm in the Forney Atrium the Next Step Coaching Team will be hosting a Dessert Social to share information about their new Coaching platform! Come by to learn more and enjoy some dessert!

UPCOMING:

~December Movie and Munchies will be on December 4th in KRACH 464 starting at 7:00! There will be a holiday movie and seasonal craft, and we encouraged EVERYONE to bring a snack to share with the other participants! Come spend the evening with us for a fun break from your studies!

THIS WEEK:

~Monthly Meeting-the November monthly meeting is TOMORROW, November 9th, from 5:30-7:00 in ARMS B061. If you RSVP'ed, please arrive around 5:15 to sign in and get your food! If you didn't RSVP by Sunday, feel free to come join the meeting; just be sure to wait until the end to take food--we want to make sure we have enough for those who RSVP'ed!

NEXT WEEK:

~Social Opportunity: The Next Step Coaching program will be having their Dessert Social next Thursday, November 17th, from 6-7 in the Forney Atrium! Come learn about their new mentoring platform that matches you with a personal life coach!

UPCOMING:

~Movies and Munchies-December Movies and Munchies will be on Sunday December 4th, starting at 7:00 in KRACH 464. More details and an official invite will be forthcoming in the following weeks! Be on the lookout!

Happy November ladies! I'm so excited about this beautiful weather, and I hope you all are enjoying it! We have some pretty important updates this week, so here they are!

THIS WEEK:

~Diversity Social: TOMORROW, November 2nd, from 6-8 p.m. in the Forney Atrium (Chemical Engineering building). Come join us for traditional Latino pastries, papel picado crafts, and Dia de los Muertos coloring pages! (They're really cute--you don't wanna miss out!) 
~Access Alums: Wednesday 11/2 10-11:30--McCarthy Building Companies
~Reminder: RSVP for the November Monthly Meeting closes this Sunday! Reserve your spot before it's too late! We will be having Panera soup for dinner and a speaker panel.

~MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Our December Movies and Munchies event will be on December 4th at 7:00 in KRACH 464 (New location this year!). More details on this event in the coming weeks!

Hello ladies! Today will be my first post in the "Take Note Tuesdays" section of the blog! What this means basically is that Tuesdays will be the day that our program activities updates will be posted on the blog--so things you should "take note" of in regards to the program. We have a LOT of stuff coming up the next two weeks--September is a busy time for our program!

~August Mentor Training Night--if you have RSVP'ed for this, be sure to attend TOMORROW, August 31st, in Amelia's from 5:30-7

NEXT WEEK: 

~MANDATORY September Meeting--you should have RSVP'ed for EITHER Wednesday's meeting or Thursday's. You are only required to attend ONE of the 2 meetings.
