- Attend at least 2 Monthly Meetings per semester**
- These include the once-per-month dinner hosted by the Leadership Team and speaker(s), the December Joint Event with the Pair Program, and the March Networking Dessert with the Pair Program.
- Attend at least 1 Social Event per semester
- These include the once-per-month afternoon or evening event hosted by the Leadership Team in addition to the Access Alum events. Moreover, participants can fulfill the Social Requirement by participating in the blog as detailed below*.
If a participant does not feel she is able to meet program requirements, is concerned about her standing, or has any questions regarding this matter, please email the Leadership Team at wiepgroup@gmail.com.
*To fulfill the Social Requirement, participants now have an additional opportunity to remain in good standing by writing blog articles. The requirements for this opportunity are as follows:
- Submit 2 articles to wiepgroup@gmail.com
- Each article should be at least 300 words
- Participants should attach a recent photo to be posted along with the article
- Submission Dates:
- Spring Semester
- Article #1 by end of February
- Article #2 by end of March
- Fall Semester
- Article #1 by end of October
- Article #2 by end of November
- Suggested Topics (but not limited to):
- Reflection of a news article about mentoring, STEM, women in engineering, etc. (not a just a summary!)
- Reflection on an interview with a female mentor in engineering or on a non-traditional engineering path (may or may not be currently practicing)
- Learnings from a Monthly Meeting (speaker, topic, other participants, etc.) and how learnings have influenced choices or goals
- Participants are encouraged to reach out to the WIEP LT for other topics to be approved!
- Participants may also choose to submit an article describing summer experiences (internships, research, studying abroad, etc.) during the summer months to earn early points for Fall requirements
**If you are on a study abroad or co-op for a semester during the year, you may submit two blog articles during the semester in which you are away from campus in order to participate in the program while you are away!
