Mary Ann Zimmerman (BS/MS Civil Engineering)
Born in Washington DC. Raised in Michigan (Bay City and Kalamazoo). BS/MS in Civil Engineering (Transportation and Urban Planning), Purdue University 1966, 1968. Honored by Purdue as a Distinguished Engineering Alumna (1986), an Old Master (1987), and as a School of Civil Engineering Centennial Lecturer (1987). Worked as Traffic Engineer (American Public Works Association and City of Chicago); Technical Manager at Cummins Inc (Columbus IN); Management Consultant in the field of international development based primarily in Washington DC area, but also working in over 25 countries primarily in Sub-Saharan Africa and Eastern Europe for periods of two weeks to two years. Retired in July 2012 after over 40 years of diverse management and consulting experience in government, nonprofit and business organizations in both domestic and international settings. Since then have increasingly focused on community activities, utilizing the skills, expertise, and interests developed during her professional career.
Stephanie Koppes (BS Chemical Engineering)
Stephanie Koppes received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue in May 2008. During her time at Purdue she was a co-op with Air Products. After graduation, Stephanie hired into the Air Products Career Development Program. She has held positions in hydrogen fueling, epoxy manufacturing, hydrogen manufacturing, and air separation plant process engineering. She is currently a process engineer in the chemicals division supporting plants by aiding in new product development and productivity and capacity improvement projects.
Maya Denton (BS Chemical Engineering)
Maya Denton received her BS in Chemical Engineering from Purdue in May 2014. While on campus, she was very involved with SWE, BGR, and WIEP. She now lives in Allentown, PA, working for Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. on the North America Gases Business Improvement team for her first rotation in Air Products’ 3 year Career Development Program. In this role, she works on productivity improvement projects for Air Separation Units (ASUs) across North America. She is in the process of obtaining Green Belt certification and undergoing Lean Six Sigma training. Maya will begin her second rotation in June, working as a plant process engineer for ASUs in North America. She is involved with the Women’s Success Network at Air Products and the Lehigh Valley SWE section.
